Hits 106, in partnership with Celebrate Birthdays and Sun Toyota, is hosting a special birthday celebration this Sunday, March 9th from 1-3 PM for 13-year-old Aubriana, who is now cancer-free. The event will feature a live broadcast by John Kelly from Hits 106 as the partners come together to celebrate Aubriana’s birthday and philanthropic projects.
A Young Survivor’s Mission
Aubriana Spiering, diagnosed with brain cancer four years ago, spent two years fighting the disease at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. During her treatment, she underwent chemotherapy, radiation, and extensive physical therapy to regain strength from left-side weakness, relearning how to walk and talk. Now cancer-free, Aubriana has turned her experience into a mission to help others.
Aubriana’s Toy Box
Inspired by her own experience of finding joy in opening presents while hospitalized, Aubriana created “Aubriana’s Toy Box,” a charity benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Her initiative aims to spread cheer to children spending time in the hospital—particularly during holidays.
“After Christmas, for days, I was opening presents, and that was the only thing fun for me,” Aubriana shared in a previous interview. “That’s what I enjoyed the most, and I want to share that with everyone else.”
How You Can Participate
Attendees who bring a new toy donation for Aubriana’s Toy Box or party supply items for Celebrate Birthdays will receive a free Bay Area Renaissance Festival ticket. The event will feature:
- Complimentary hot dogs and cold drinks
- Chance to win various prizes including:
- Tickets to “Broken Hearts” Tom Petty Tribute at the Mahaffey Theater
