Big Storm Brewing in Odessa, FL, is set to close its taproom soon, an unexpected announcement for many loyal customers who enjoyed the brewery’s diverse beer selection and welcoming atmosphere. Known for its sour beer production and community events like trivia nights and board gaming sessions, the closure marks the end of a beloved spot for local craft beer enthusiasts. While the exact reasons for the closure have not been publicly detailed, the impact on the local craft beer scene is significant.
In their Facebook statement, Big Storm Brewing expressed:
“It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of Big Storm Brewery in Pasco, which saw its last day this past Saturday. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support over the nearly 10 years we’ve been part of the Pasco community. Your patronage has meant the world to us. Over the past decade, Pasco County has blossomed, offering many new and exciting places for families to gather for food and drink. We are proud to have been part of this growth and thrilled that our beers (and spirits) are featured in many of these fantastic establishments.
As part of this transition, our full-time staff from Pasco will be moving to Pinellas. We are excited to bring their experience and passion to our Clearwater operations! We are committed to supporting Pasco and look forward to being part of its future in new and exciting ways. Thank you once again for your incredible support. We hope to see you soon in one of our other locations.”
